Wedding videos built like short films

Your wedding wasn't a slideshow. Your film shouldn't be one either.
Many wedding films flatten the day by chasing the polished version. Pretty shot in slow-mo, another pretty shot, more pretty shots, set to one pretty song.
But: Weddings are a rollercoaster. They build and release. They peak. They go quiet. They surprise you.
A wedding film should do the same.
That's why I build wedding films like short films.
With a beginning that's specifically yours. A middle that follows your story, not just a timeline. And an ending that lands.
The vows you spent weeks writing - dropped in at the moment they hit you in the gut.
Your mate's speech that went off the rails - kept long enough to make you spit your drink.
The chaotic bits no one saw coming - placed where you stop watching and start being there.
Whether you love loud and cry ugly or you're the quiet soul who loves through small gestures, the film is shaped around who you actually are. Your story. Your personalities. Your vibe.
A film that could only be yours.

“The tears were in full force, Nico captured so much emotion we definitely didn’t have the tissues ready for it.”
My clients don’t just like their films. They feel them. Over and over again.
“By the end of the wedding, we saw Nico as a friend. He gave us space to be ourselves and captured it all so naturally.”
“We’ve watched it over 100 times — and each time, we feel the emotions, awe, and amazement all over again.”
Hi, I’m Nico!
The filmmaker behind N.SIM.FILMS.
I create wedding films for couples who don’t want a copy-paste version of their day.
I wish someone had told me about storytelling and love story sessions when I started filming weddings four years ago. But it took me nearly a year of unintentional slow motion and linear clips that all looked nice, but lacked heart and soul, until I saw the first wedding film that blew my mind.
And ever since, I create with intention. I did that back in Germany, and since 2025 in Australia, when I moved countries with my Aussie wife and little daughter.
I mix modern storytelling, inspired by documentaries, music videos and cinema, with touches of Super 8 or VHS, with one goal in mind:
To craft a film that reflects your story.
To give you something you’ll actually rewatch years later.
Again. And again.
This isn’t for everyone and that’s kind of the point.
Ifyou want a film that actually feels like your relationship, here’s how to know we’ll get along…
-
You just want a TikTok-style edit with no heart
You want the cheapest option on the market
You care more about poses than people and connection
-
You're best friends first and lovers second
You always cry during the vows
You haven’t even thought about trends or algorithms, because you just want a film that feels like you
Love story session: Let’s tell your story
My love story package includes a love story session before the day: a while before your wedding, we'll meet up and do something that reflects you as a couple — a beach picnic, a walk with the dogs, pizza around the fire pit in your garden, whatever fits.
I film simple moments and real conversation so your wedding film has more of your story. We also get comfortable with each other, so on the day you will know me and I will not just be a stranger with cameras.
That story will become a main element of your wedding film.
Because your story is what your wedding film is all about. So it will feel personal right from the start.
