Frequently asked questions

  • I’d say my style is a mix of narrative and documentary, but always subtle, natural and a bit playful with a touch of nostalgia. I love capturing meaningful moments and weaving them into a story that’s uniquely yours. For me, it’s about focusing on the love and connection that unfolds naturally throughout the day, not only between you and your partner, but everyone that is there to celebrate with you.

While I appreciate the details (such as the flowers or decorations) that make your day unique, I tend to prioritize the moments that truly matter—the ones that tell the story of your relationship and the emotions shared with your loved ones (especially in my films). After all, those are the memories you’ll want to hold onto and share for years to come.

I also like to keep things fresh—I get bored doing the same thing over and over, so every film is a little different and so might be the style of my photos. My goal is always to create something that feels personal and creative while staying honest and not over the top.

  • I’m happy to travel wherever your story takes me! Travel within 1.5hours of Brisbane CBD is included at no extra cost. If your wedding is further away or requires an overnight stay, additional costs may apply.

I can also travel to places like Melbourne, North Queensland, or even Europe! For those, you’ll just need to cover flights and accommodation—unless I have friends nearby, in which case I might just crash with them. Let’s chat and figure out the best plan for your big day!

  • Wedding films are usually delivered within 150 days—sometimes quicker, sometimes it might take a tiny bit (days, not months) longer. If there are any delays, I’ll keep you updated along the way (because no one likes those stories about couples waiting in silence).

Photos are quicker: I will deliver them to you usually after 30-40 days. Often even faster.

On the bright side, your wedding sneak preview will be usally ready within 2-3 weeks (film) / 1 week (photos) after your big day, so you’ll have something to enjoy while waiting.

If you’re looking for a quicker turnaround, I also offer an express delivery option, with your film ready within 45 days after the wedding. Let’s make it work for you!

  • Absolutely! Surprising, I know ;) but jokes aside, a love story film with a separate couple session can actually take some of the pressure off on your wedding day. By shooting a couple of weeks (or at least a day) before your wedding, you’ll get more comfortable in front of the camera. By the big day, you might not even notice it’s there. You will also get to know me, which can help if you are worried you might feel anxious on your wedding day.

If you’re nervous about talking on camera, no problem—we can keep things natural and let you just be yourselves. I’ll be working away in the background while you share moments with your partner. You won’t even know I’m recording.

Audio is, however, a big part of my work. So if you’d prefer to avoid any audio, even on your wedding day, my style might not be the perfect fit for you.

  • Mini wedding films are usually 2-4 minutes long—a short, sweet version of a highlight film. They’re included in my photography package, but they don’t cover everything that happens during the day.

If you want your entire day captured in detail, I’d recommend hiring both a dedicated photographer and videographer. But if your priority is beautiful photos (and you like my style!) while still having a little film that gives you a glimpse of the day, then this package could be a great fit for you. It’s a lovely way to capture a bit of the magic without the full video commitment.

  • The number of photos depends on how many hours I’m with you and what’s happening during your day. For example, if there’s a single speech that lasts an hour, there might be fewer photos compared to an hour with three speeches and a packed dance floor afterwards.

On average, I deliver between 250 and 500 edited photos. But honestly, I think the number isn’t as important as the quality. My focus is on capturing the little moments that make your day uniquely yours—those are the memories that truly matter.

  • I’m not a wedding planner, but from my experience, it’s always a good idea to leave some room for flexibility in your timeline. Things rarely go exactly as planned, and a little wiggle room can make a big difference in keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable.

When we chat a few weeks before your wedding—whether it’s over a call or in person—we can go over your timeline together. I’ll let you know if I think something might be tricky or if we can do anything ahead of time to make the day smoother.

The goal is to keep stress to a minimum. Your photographer or videographer (whether it’s me or someone else) can usually help make sure everything flows well so you can focus on enjoying your day. Let’s make it as stress-free and fun as possible.

  • On your wedding day, yes, that would be great! You don’t need to seat me at a table with your guests, but it’s usually nice to have a meal and some water nearby so I can stay energized and ready to capture every moment.

Plus, mingling a little helps me ease in, and your guests tend to feel more comfortable around me if they’ve had a chance to get to know me too. It all helps in creating a more relaxed and natural atmosphere for your video/photos.

Some venues offer a 50% discount for professionals, so check with your venue or planner.

  • I’ve learned that a lot of Australians love Taylor Swift (my wife is a Swiftie too, so I get it!). However, I license music through special platforms that ensure everything is legal and above board.

If you’re set on using a song from a big artist like Taylor, it’s definitely possible—but purchasing the proper license can be very, very pricey. Let’s chat about your vision for the video, and I can help find music that fits perfectly.

  • The wedding day itself is actually the fun part—it’s where all the magic happens, and honestly, whether I’m there for 5 or 10 hours, it doesn’t change much for me (besides maybe sore feet afterwards). Either way, I won’t book another wedding that day, so the time is fully dedicated to you.

The real work happens in the editing room. Surprisingly, shorter weddings often take just as much editing time as longer ones. A 5-hour wedding can pack in just as many important moments—sometimes even more condensed action—which means the same amount of effort goes into sorting, crafting, editing and perfecting your film or photos.

So while the hours on the day might vary, the care, attention, and artistry I put into your film and photos remain the same depending on the package.

Also, I don’t want you stressing about how many hours to book or worrying you might regret not having me stay longer. The last thing I’d want is to miss crucial moments because of a time limit. This way, you can enjoy your day without watching the clock!

  • Yes, I require a non-refundable booking fee of 35% of your package price to secure your date.

  • Of course! Extras like Super 8 footage can really enhance your film, and I’d be happy to go over the options with you. Possible extras are part of my pricing catalogue that you can find under the “Investment” tab. My pricing is designed for full-day coverage, so you will not have to book extra hours unless you need me another day.

  • I usually don’t sell the raw files, and here’s why: they’re unpolished, flat-looking, and often not what you’d expect when you think of your wedding memories. On top of that, raw files (especially video footage) can easily take up to 1TB of storage—and without editing knowledge, they’re not very useful. I’ve seen a bit of a trend where couples are offered raw footage, and left feeling overwhelmed or disappointed when they realise it’s not what they imagined. If you just want to get the whole ceremony or all your speeches on film? Just book it as an extra and I will colour grade, cut and edit the footage for you.

  • Yes, most extras need to be booked ahead of time so I can plan everything properly for your wedding day. For example, if you’d like Super 8 footage, I’ll need to know a few weeks in advance to make sure I have enough film on hand.

The only exception is the social media package—you can decide to add social media extras up to six months after your wedding, in case you realise later you’d love a little extra content to share.

  • It really depends on what you’re looking for! If you love a nostalgic touch, Super 8 footage is a great option. It adds a unique vintage vibe, and it’s especially fun during a couple’s shoot—you can even take turns filming each other with an original 70s camera.

If you’re active on social media, the social media package might be perfect for you. It includes reels in Instagram format and ready-to-go posts, all prepared in the right dimensions. All you have to do is hit "post" and add your own text.

There’s something for everyone, but we can chat about what works best for your day. I don’t want you to book extras out of FOMO and later regret it. Take your time, think it over, and just let me know at least 4 weeks before your wedding! 😊
