Kirsty and Charlie
The Lakehouse Folk elopement film, Sunshine Coast
Kirsty and Charlie eloped on purpose. With family all over the world, Kirsty and Charlie didn't want some of them to be left out because of travel. So they made a film that brings everyone in.
To reflect not only their elopement, but also how they got married, we integrated a love story session, since some of their family and friends weren't able to be part of their relationship because they live far away. We kicked things off in Brisbane at the restaurant where they fell in love, so you get to see the reason before the vows. A little later, they eloped at The Lakehouse Folk on the Sunshine Coast for a laid-back day that felt like them.
This film is about friendship turning into love and how that affects their memories of each other. It's also the most inclusive way to elope and still include the family.
What Kirsty and Charlie say about their film
“We particularly love Nico's documentary style editing, and the idea of filming in the restaurant where we had our first dates was such a nice touch as well. We really love how Nico managed to capture the exact moments of our wedding day that meant the most to us, without us even needing to tell him […] we are so in love with how it all turned out.”
“Nico brought endless positivity, provided a fun, natural setting, and enabled us to feel comfortable in front of the camera. By the end of our wedding, we saw Nico as a friend, and it was an honour to have him with us on our wedding day.”
