Tash and Will

When we first spoke, Tash and Will had said they'd like a fun wedding video, which is totally cool because they're a fun couple. But the day also had some powerful emotion. Will's dad, who passed away, felt present throughout, and so did the love between Tash and Will. I wanted the film to reflect both: keep the pace and energy they imagined while giving the emotional parts the time they deserved so the film feels true to what actually happened.
So here's how it all went down: The film starts with a voiceover, with Will's sister reading the lyrics to "I Love You Because" by Jim Reeves, his dad's favourite song. Then it moves into a documentary-style opening with their letters, vows and natural room tone. As the night goes on, the edit switches to a music video rhythm, so the joy carries on.
So: Weddings can be a bit emotional and a lot of fun. You can have memories, big emotions and celebration together. And that's what this film is about.
